The rug is made with very fine lamb's wool on cotton foundation.
Hand washed and is ready for use or display. The rug is suitable for heavy domestic use.
The rug is in great condition and deep pile.
The rugs produced here are mostly built on a cotton foundation. Nahavand rugs are noticeable due to the softness but more importantly, the sheen, from their wool. The pattern usually encapsulates a large single central medallion with smaller nomadic motifs surrounding it. The colours used are a beautiful blend, normally utilising rusty reds and khakis on a dark blue background but may vary from rug to rug. These are beautiful rugs of high quality and are well sought after in the west.
