This beautiful vintage handmade Persian Tabriz carpet was woven approximately 40–50 years ago and is an excellent example of the refined craftsmanship for which the city of Tabriz is renowned.
Measuring 350 × 260 cm (approximately 11 ft 6 in × 8 ft 6 in), this impressive carpet features an elegant all-over floral design set against a deep navy blue field, framed by a striking ruby red border. The balanced composition and intricate detailing create a timeless appearance suitable for both traditional and contemporary interiors.
Hand knotted using fine lamb’s wool on a fine cotton foundation, the carpet has a soft handle, excellent durability, and a beautiful natural sheen that enhances its rich colours.
The harmonious colour palette includes deep navy blue, ruby red, ivory, sage green, olive green, sky blue and soft coral, giving the carpet warmth, depth and character.
Professionally hand washed and ready for immediate use or display, this carpet is suitable for heavy domestic use and would make an outstanding centrepiece in a living room, dining room or reception room.
