This attractive vintage handmade Persian Mahal rug features the traditional repeating Boteh design, arranged neatly across a warm red field and framed by a distinctive ivory geometric border.
The rug has a pleasing colour palette including brick red, rust, burgundy, ivory, cream, pale blue, turquoise, soft grey, muted brown and small dark navy accents. Its repeating pattern gives the rug a balanced, decorative appearance that works well in both traditional and contemporary interiors.
Hand knotted from very fine lamb’s wool on a cotton foundation, the rug has a durable construction, good pile and excellent furnishing quality. It is in excellent condition, has been professionally hand washed and is ready for immediate use or display.
