This authentic handmade Persian Qashqai tribal rug was hand knotted approximately 60–70 years ago by the nomadic Qashqai weavers of southern Persia. Rich in history and character, it beautifully reflects the artistic traditions passed down through generations, combining bold geometric patterns with naturally dyed wool and outstanding craftsmanship.

Measuring 230 × 145 cm (approximately 7 ft 7 in × 4 ft 9 in), the rug displays the classic three-medallion composition surrounded by a wealth of traditional tribal motifs. Stylised flowers, trees, birds and ancient protective symbols fill the field, each woven with remarkable skill and creating a design full of movement and authenticity.

Hand knotted using fine lamb’s wool on a wool foundation, the rug offers both exceptional durability and a wonderfully soft handle. The high-quality wool has matured beautifully over time, developing a rich natural patina that gives the rug warmth and depth.
