This beautiful handmade Persian Heriz runner is an excellent example of the bold tribal artistry for which the Heriz region of north-west Persia is internationally admired. Hand knotted approximately 60–70 years ago, it combines striking geometric design with exceptional durability, making it both a practical and highly decorative addition to the home.

Measuring 235 × 90 cm (approximately 7 ft 9 in × 3 ft), the runner features a powerful traditional Heriz medallion design set against a rich madder red field. Strong angular motifs, stylised floral elements and geometric borders create a dramatic composition that reflects the authentic character of Persian village weaving.
