This beautiful antique handmade Persian Heriz runner is an excellent example of the bold geometric artistry for which Heriz village weavings are renowned. Featuring a striking series of angular tribal medallions linked along the centre of the field, together with traditional symbolic motifs, this runner has tremendous character and timeless appeal.

Measuring 284 × 86 cm (approximately 9 ft 4 in × 2 ft 10 in), this elegant runner is ideal for a hallway, entrance, landing or long corridor, adding warmth, colour and authentic craftsmanship to any home.

The runner displays a beautifully aged madder red field complemented by deep indigo blue medallions, with accents of soft ivory, muted sage green, terracotta and warm beige. The naturally matured colours give the rug a wonderful warmth and a genuine lived-in character that only comes with age.

Hand knotted from very fine lamb’s wool on a cotton foundation, this runner is durable, practical and full of authentic tribal charm.
