This beautiful handmade Persian Hamedan runner is a classic example of the traditional weaving produced throughout the Greater Hamedan region of western Persia. Hand knotted approximately 50–60 years ago, it displays the timeless Herati (Fish) pattern, renowned for its elegant symmetry, durability and enduring appeal.

Measuring 326 × 108 cm (approximately 10 ft 8 in × 3 ft 7 in), this generous runner is ideal for a long hallway, entrance hall, landing, kitchen, dining area or open-plan living space.

The rich terracotta-red field is beautifully decorated with an intricate all-over Herati design, complemented by a delicate central diamond medallion and framed by a harmonious floral border. The warm natural colours and fine craftsmanship make this runner equally suited to both traditional and contemporary interiors.
