This attractive antique handmade Oriental Bokhara rug features the traditional repeating gul design, arranged in orderly rows across a warm red field and surrounded by finely patterned multiple borders.

The rug has a rich, beautifully aged colour palette including deep red, burgundy, terracotta, rust, dark brown, black, ivory, cream, camel, burnt orange and soft pink accents. Its closely spaced geometric motifs and detailed borders give the rug a distinctive and timeless tribal character.

Hand knotted from very fine lamb’s wool on a wool foundation, the rug has a durable construction and attractive antique appearance. It is in good condition with a low pile, has been professionally hand washed and is ready for immediate use or display.
