This characterful antique handmade Persian Bakhtiari rug is a traditional tribal weaving featuring a beautifully structured floral garden design. The field is divided into geometric panels containing stylised flowering plants, rosettes, trees and architectural motifs, creating a bold and highly decorative composition.

Measuring 175 × 95 cm (approximately 5 ft 9 in × 3 ft 1 in), it is an attractive and versatile size for a bedroom, entrance hall, fireside area, study, reading corner or in front of a chest or sideboard.

The rug has a warm terracotta and brick-red ground contrasted by deep navy and charcoal sections. Ivory panels brighten the composition, while muted blue, soft green, beige, warm brown and touches of pale coral add depth and authentic antique character. The combination of strong geometric drawing and softened old colours gives the rug a distinctive yet welcoming appearance.
