This distinctive vintage handmade Persian Lori runner is an attractive tribal weaving featuring a bold sequence of traditional geometric medallions. Dated 1351 in the field, it was woven approximately 53–54 years ago and has the authentic character associated with traditional Lori rugs.

Measuring 280 × 105 cm (approximately 9 ft 2 in × 3 ft 5 in), its broad runner proportions make it ideal for a hallway, entrance hall, landing, corridor, kitchen, study or the space beside a dining table.

The runner has a deep midnight-navy field decorated with large terracotta and brick-red medallions. Strong ivory motifs at either end create a striking contrast, while smaller details in burnt orange, muted blue, olive green, soft brown and warm beige add depth and tribal character.

An attractive change of colour known as abrash can be seen across the field. This natural variation occurred during the weaving process and enhances the runner’s individuality, age and handmade appearance.

Hand knotted from very fine lamb’s wool on a strong cotton foundation, the runner has a durable construction suitable for regular household use. It has been professionally hand washed and is clean, fresh and ready for immediate use.
