This impressive handmade Persian Kashan carpet is a finely woven city piece dating from approximately 10–15 years ago. It features an elegant central medallion surrounded by scrolling floral vines, palmettes and flowering branches arranged across a softly coloured field.

Measuring 390 × 285 cm (approximately 12 ft 10 in × 9 ft 4 in), this substantial room-size carpet is ideal for a large living room, dining room, drawing room, reception room or formal sitting area.

The carpet has a warm ivory and cream field, centred by a finely detailed medallion in shades of soft blue, taupe, beige, pale brown and dark navy. The floral design is enriched with muted gold, gentle green, pale pink and terracotta accents.

A broad soft sage and pale-blue floral border frames the field beautifully. Smaller guard borders add definition while maintaining the carpet’s calm and elegant appearance.

Hand knotted from very fine wool coloured with natural dyes, the carpet has a soft handle, detailed weave and durable construction. It remains in great condition with a good, even pile, making it suitable for regular household use.
