This elegant handmade Persian Nain rug is a finely woven city rug featuring a traditional central medallion surrounded by delicately drawn floral sprays, scrolling vines and classical Persian motifs.

Measuring 165 × 105 cm (approximately 5 ft 5 in × 3 ft 5 in), it is a versatile size suitable for a living room, bedroom, entrance hall, study, fireside area or beneath a coffee table.

The rug has a rich deep-navy field centred by an intricate medallion in pale blue, ivory, warm beige and soft brown. Fine floral decoration in ivory, powder blue, taupe and muted burgundy creates an elegant contrast against the dark ground. The light ivory border brightens the composition and gives the rug a refined, well-balanced appearance.

Hand knotted from very fine lamb’s wool with approximately 5% silk highlights on a strong cotton foundation, the silk detailing gently catches the light and emphasises selected flowers and decorative outlines. The rug has a fine weave, good pile and a soft, luxurious handle.
