This exceptional handmade Persian Kashan rug features a classic central medallion surrounded by finely drawn flowering vines, palmettes and scrolling leaves across a soft ivory field. The elegant floral border completes the refined city design.

The colour palette includes ivory, cream, pale blue, powder blue, soft grey, beige, taupe, olive green, muted gold, ochre, rust, burgundy, brown and dark navy accents.

Hand knotted from very fine Kork wool on a fine cotton foundation, the rug has a fine weave, excellent definition and a deep, luxurious pile. It is signed in the border by the workshop, “Kashan Shad Sar.”

Approximately five years old, the rug remains in great condition. It has been professionally hand washed and is ready for immediate use or display.
