Rug Origin - Persian Heriz Azerbaijan region runner with three columns of linked diamond design. The runner has very nice old colours. The runner is made with very fine lamb's wool on cotton. Hand washed and is ready for use. The runner is suitable for heavy domestic use.
Heriz is not far from the Azerbaijan Border so they draw influences from many Caucasian rugs and runners. They are easily recognisable with repeating medallions similar to those in caucasian rugs. The central motif is often the latch-hooked design motif or an eight-pointed star.
