A beautiful large Persian Mashhad carpet, hand-knotted in 100% wool and featuring an elegant traditional central medallion and floral design.
The main field is a distinctive rich raspberry-crimson red with pink undertones, rather than a conventional dark red. The intricate floral pattern is woven in complementary shades of navy blue, light blue, ivory, beige, olive green and soft pink, creating a beautifully balanced and highly decorative appearance.
At the centre is an elaborate ivory and navy floral medallion, surrounded by finely drawn scrolling vines, flowers and classical Persian motifs. The deep navy floral border provides a strong contrast to the brighter raspberry-red field and gives the carpet a sophisticated overall appearance.
Approximately 15–20 years old, the carpet is in very good condition with a good pile. It has been professionally washed and cleaned and is ready for use.
Its large size and refined colouring make it ideal for a spacious living room, dining room, reception room or large bedroom, and the design works beautifully in both modern and traditional interiors.
