This attractive vintage handmade Persian Turkmen rug is a finely woven tribal piece dating from approximately 20–30 years ago. It features a traditional all-over arrangement of repeated Turkmen guls, creating a balanced and highly decorative geometric design.

Measuring 190 × 130 cm (approximately 6 ft 3 in × 4 ft 3 in), it is a versatile size suitable for a living room, bedroom, study, entrance hall, beside a bed or beneath a small dining table.

The rug has a rich warm-red field decorated with alternating octagonal guls and smaller geometric motifs. Deep burgundy and dark brown outlines provide definition, while accents of ivory, muted beige, soft grey, black and touches of warm terracotta add depth and traditional character. Multiple finely patterned borders frame the field beautifully.

Hand knotted from fine, soft lamb’s wool on a strong cotton foundation, the rug has a fine weave and durable construction. It has a low pile consistent with its age and remains in good vintage condition.

The rug has been professionally hand washed and is clean, fresh and ready for immediate use.
