Fine Handmade Persian Qum Silk Hunting Rug – 160 × 115 cm (5 ft 3 in × 3 ft 9 in)

This exceptional handmade Persian Qum silk rug features a finely detailed classical hunting scene, with horsemen, deer and other animals arranged among flowering plants and trees across a rich golden-yellow field.

The rug has a striking colour palette including golden yellow, mustard, ivory, cream, olive green, sage, brown, black, burgundy, red, coral, soft pink, pale blue, turquoise, grey and small white accents. The surrounding border is decorated with floral motifs and finely woven Persian script panels, adding further detail and character.

Hand knotted entirely in silk at approximately 400 knots per square inch, the rug displays excellent precision, fine drawing and a soft lustrous finish. It is in outstanding condition with a full pile and no visible wear.

Due to its fine silk construction, the rug is best suited to light domestic use, decorative display or wall hanging. It has been professionally hand washed and is ready for immediate use.
