This attractive handmade Persian Sarouk carpet is a finely woven city piece dating from approximately 10–15 years ago. It features the well-known all-over boteh design, beautifully arranged across the field in a balanced and highly decorative composition.
Measuring 295 × 180 cm (approximately 9 ft 8 in × 5 ft 11 in), this versatile carpet is ideal for a living room, dining room, study, bedroom, sitting room or reception room.
The carpet has a rich warm red field filled with rows of finely drawn boteh motifs in ivory, soft blue, navy, beige and brown, giving the design both detail and rhythm. A series of narrow guard borders frame the field neatly, while the main ivory border adds contrast and definition, enhancing the elegant overall appearance.
Hand knotted from very fine lamb’s wool on a cotton foundation, the carpet has a soft handle, durable structure and refined finish. It remains in excellent condition and is suitable for regular use in busy areas of the home.
The carpet has been professionally hand washed and is clean, fresh and ready for immediate use or display.
