This attractive vintage handmade Persian Shiraz rug features a traditional triple-medallion design surrounded by numerous small tribal and geometric motifs across a warm terracotta-red field. The bold ivory and indigo medallions create a strong central composition, framed by a distinctive geometric border.
The rug has a rich, naturally aged colour palette including terracotta, brick red, rust, coral, deep navy blue, indigo, ivory, cream, black, pale blue, muted green, soft brown, beige and small orange accents.
Hand knotted from fine lamb’s wool using natural dyes, the rug has an appealing low pile and the character associated with traditional tribal weaving. Approximately 60–70 years old, it remains in good vintage condition.
The rug has been professionally hand washed and is ready for immediate use or display. Its durable construction makes it suitable for regular household use.
