This beautiful handmade Turkmen rug is an authentic tribal weaving dating from approximately 60–70 years ago. Featuring the classic large Gul pattern, this rug is an excellent example of traditional Turkmen craftsmanship, admired for its elegant geometry, rich colours and exceptional durability.

Measuring 217 × 126 cm (approximately 7 ft 1 in × 4 ft 2 in), it is an ideal size for a living room, study, bedroom, entrance hall or beneath a coffee table.

The warm terracotta-red field is decorated with two rows of traditional octagonal Guls, framed by beautifully balanced geometric borders woven in deep navy blue, ivory and soft brown. The harmonious colours and timeless tribal design make this rug equally suited to both traditional and contemporary interiors.

Hand knotted from fine lamb’s wool on a wool foundation, the rug has a soft yet resilient pile, making it perfect for everyday family living. It has been professionally hand washed and is clean, fresh and ready for immediate use.
