Vintage Handmade Oriental Bidjar Rug – 172 × 123 cm (5 ft 8 in × 4 ft 0 in)

This vintage handmade Oriental Bidjar rug features a classic central medallion design with a beautifully balanced field and border. A particularly attractive feature is the subtle abrash (change of colour) across the field, which adds depth, character and individuality to the rug.

The rug has a rich and pleasing colour palette, including salmon pink, coral, terracotta, rust red, sky blue, turquoise, deep navy, indigo, ivory, cream, olive green, sage, beige and soft brown.

Hand knotted from very fine lamb’s wool on a cotton foundation, the rug has a strong, durable weave, good pile and is in great condition. It has been hand washed and is ready for immediate use or display.
